Volunteer opportunities.
Along with the salvage business our passion is preserving pieces of aviation and automotive history we have a lot of volunteer help on these projects
If you would like to learn a new skill such as welding fabricating paint preparation and spraying or mechanical work we have some great opportunities for you at smith salvage and restoration and a lot of our projects have both staff and volunteer time in them ,
With an a&p and certified aircraft maintenance engineer on staff so the benefit as well as earning some useful skills to use on your own aircraft and cars we can also help you achieve your certification to work on aircraft and sign off your tasks in your aircraft mechanics log to comply with the proof of experience required by the FAA or transport Canada
Along with the aircraft maintenance engineers license the owner of smith salvage is also a commercial multi engine pilot and holds three red seal mechanics licenses in Canada there is literally nothing on wheels and or wings we can’t restore .
